Singapore Future Economy Scholarship (SFES)
The Singapore Future Economy Scholarship (SFES) offered at the Singapore Campus of James Cook University (JCU) is established to attract and support talented domestic students, particularly those pursuing careers in the Green, Digital, and Care economies. This initiative aligns with Singapore's SkillsFuture program, addressing the nation's future workforce needs. Additionally, this scholarship aims to nurture a skilled workforce tailored to Singapore’s future economic needs and achieves the following key objectives:
Eligibility Criteria
1. Student Type: Domestic students enrolling as new undergraduates at JCU Singapore.
2. Eligible Programs:
3. Academic Requirements: Direct entry eligibility for the selected programs.
4. Additional Requirement: Submission of complete documentation, including financial and personal statements. Applicant's Monthly Per Capita Household income of less than $3,000 will be given priority.
Terms and Conditions
This scholarship is only available for domestic students studying at JCU Singapore.
The scholarship is only open to new domestic students commencing in selected intake.
Scholarship awardee must attain at least 75% attendance in each trimester throughout the duration of the course.
Scholarship awardees are not eligible for any other scholarship available at JCU Singapore.
Minimum subject fees payable is capped at 12 subjects’ tuition fees for undergraduate program following the scholarship award and any advanced standing granted from the assessment of application for admission.
The scholarship amount of up to $20,000 will be offset against the final subjects undertaken.
The scholarship is applicable for selected program.
The scholarship amount does not cover any re-module fees should the scholarship awardee fail any subject during study.
The scholarship may be withdrawn at any time if, in the opinion of the University, the scholarship holder’s progress or behaviour is deemed unsatisfactory.
JCU Singapore does not guarantee and/or provide scholars with employment upon graduation.
If the scholarship holder decides to withdraw from the university and/or terminate the scholarship prematurely, the university reserves the right to impose repayment of all scholarship monies disbursed to the scholar.
It is subject to the university discretion to award the scholarship.
Scholarship is not applicable for transfer to any James Cook University campus in Australia.
Scholarship recipients are required to take on the role of student ambassador or any other similar role representing JCU Singapore to give publicity talks and testimonials as and when called upon to do so.
In the event of any dispute the decision of the university will be final and binding.
